Hello
My journey in the film industry began with passion, hard work, and a drive to bring stories to life. But I noticed a troubling pattern—I was often the only woman on set, with department head roles dominated by men.

One moment solidified this realization. While working as a production coordinator on an all-male crew, I was asked to apply makeup on talent—completely outside my role. This highlighted the gender disparities in the industry and fueled my determination to create change.

In 2021, I started Make A Scene WA, and began teaching filmmaking to girls, encouraging them to pursue careers in roles traditionally held by men. Over time, I've expanded my mission to include all youth, with an emphasizes on underrepresented students, providing hands-on training and mentorship. Also, I've obtained fiscal 501(c) 3 sponsorship through Cascadia Women's International Film Festival!

Today, my business empowers the next generation of filmmakers, fostering an industry where film crews are as diverse as the stories they tell, and where every child can see themselves as a leader behind the camera.

My extensive experience as a director, producer, production manager, and talent on commercial and narrative projects, allows me to bring a variety of knowledge to the classes. I've worked with organizations such as Children of the Setting Sun Productions, Moment Films, Rocket Soul Media, and A&E Network. I am a film screener for CASCADIA and a board member at Pickford Film Center.

Fun Fact, I was a reoccurring extra on the first four seasons of Sy Fy Channel's Z Nation. So many fun zombie stories to tell!

I look forward to working with your future filmmaker,
